fact
Cabbage color can carry a clue
A plant pigment can respond to a change in its surroundings.
Red cabbage contains pigments whose colors change in acidic or basic conditions.
Anthocyanins can change molecular form when their chemical surroundings change, altering the color we see. A cabbage indicator can therefore provide a qualitative clue. A generated color chart or a kitchen photograph cannot give an exact pH reading; follow the activity’s food-only materials and interpretation limits.
A reading record for your pathways. It does not certify a kitchen or a skill.
