tip
Put evidence beside your texture word
“Soft” becomes more useful when you explain what the sample did.
Try this
Pair a texture description with an observation: “It dented under a gentle spoon press,” or “It broke into crumbs when the adult bent it.”
Why it helps
Sight, sound and suitable touch-based actions reveal different features. The action tells another observer what your word refers to.
When it applies
Use this in a cooking notebook, a texture investigation or a discussion of which preparation suits a dish.
Keep in mind
A personal preference is still valid, but keep it separate from the observed behavior. No tasting is required, and unsuitable contact or breaking actions can be skipped.
A reading record for your pathways. It does not certify a kitchen or a skill.
